From idea to production: ongoing quality
Since its creation in 1947, Design Duval’s aim has been to design, create and manufacture promotional leather goods made entirely to measure. We later extended our range of activities to include product presentation and promotional packaging with the same personalized and innovative approach. Each new project – whatever its nature – is considered unique and deserves our full attention.
Producing exclusively custom-made products is not an easy task!
Our partners are aware of the specific nature of each project: no production is alike. Constant attention is required to produce 100% personalised communication and sales support tools. Their know-how, the strict internal procedures and the respect of our quality guidelines guarantee our high standards.
Concern for quality and a well done job are visible at all stages of a project. It starts with an idea, which leads to the creation of a prototype to test the correct functions of the product, then the product goes through numerous quality control checks during its manufacturing process, before being finally released on the market.
Certified production made in France
At Design Duval, quality requirement and safety control are the key to our approach. In the interest of customer satisfaction, the safety of our partners and the control of our impact on the environment, we have set up strict procedures that have been certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Our PVC products are of course in compliance with the REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals), which aims to improve health and environmental protection in the use of chemicals.
Design Duval is an exclusively French manufacturing company for the major part of our fields of application: product ranges and sample display, welded leather goods, welded promotional packaging. To manufacture our sewn articles, we carefully selected international partners according to our criteria of quality, ethics and reliability, in total respect of our approach.
We are also proud to say that all our raw materials come from Europe and mainly from France.
As a leader in high frequency welding in France and a reference in the field of small leather goods and fully recyclable PVC advertising objects, we fully assume our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We make sure that our values of quality and respect extend to all of our activities.
Social
In our company on a human scale, we value sharing, commitment and stability for our staff. This includes health and safety within the company, with constant improvement of working conditions and workstations, and recognition of skills.
We support social integration and are proud of our equal representation of men and women.
Economic
Established in Redon since its creation, Design Duval contributes to local economic development by giving priority first to regional, then to national partnerships. We regularly call on the local CAT (Sheltered Employment Centre) to strengthen our teams and encourage employment by recruiting students on sandwich courses, apprenticeships and international intership schemes (VIE).
At last, we like to build long-lasting relationships. Up to now, our regular customers account for more than 60% of our sales: the best proof of our business ethics!
Environmental
Design Duval is an ISO14001-certified corporate citizen, and has an active policy to best control the impact of its activities on the environment:
- eco-design with a manufacturing process that is economical in terms of materials and energy,
- Reasoned and mostly local choice of raw materials,
- use of recycled and/or recyclable materials,
- reclaiming and recycling of scrap and production offcuts,
- management of end-of-life products and raw materials,
- raising employee awareness of respect for the environment and energy saving (waste sorting, reducing paper consumption, car pooling, etc.).
