Polypropylene display box for A6 size samples

Creation of a customized, original and compact polypropylene sample wallet

The coating sample display wallet was made of polypropylene, selected for its originality. The customer chose an opaque PP, to make the colour of its screenprinted graphic identity stand out. A glossy varnish was applied for extra protection. A closing flap is used to close the PP box.

To display the coatings, Design Duval designed this colour chart as a register. The box opens entirely from the top. It reveals all the PP dividers, printed on the front with the sample reference and on the back with the related technical information.

This divider presentation is interesting for three reasons:

• It allows you to display A6 size samples – a good size compared to traditional displays;
• it offers a large advertising space;
• it protects the samples as they are not in contact with each other.

Design Duval carried out this project as a complete service, from the design of the polypropylene sample box to the manufacture of the samples. We decided to apply mineral and lime coatings on 3 mm thick supports, in order to provide enough rigidity to samples this size and with a thickness of up to 10 mm. This project prooves all the know-how of Design Duval’s technical teams: application of mineral coatings with various structures and clean cutting of fragile, very thick samples.
